RICHLAND, Wash. – One of Richland School District’s own has been selected to star on the upcoming season of the Kids Baking Championship on Food Network.
According to an RSD Facebook post, Jack Whalen, a 7th grade student at Three Rivers Homelink, will compete alongside other young bakers for a chance at $25,000, and a feature in Food Network Magazine.
This season’s theme is about animals with challenges inspired by creatures of all kinds. Contestants will create everything from animal texture tarts to crafting cookie animal houses to zoo-inspired cakes. The new season premieres on Monday, January 6th, at 8 PM on Food Network and will stream the next day on Max.
