Yakima’s Downtown Summer Nights extended until Aug. 29

YAKIMA, Wash.-Downtown Summer Nights has been extended through Thursday, Aug. 29.

One night during the summer was canceled due to smoke in the region and so the summer event will be extended an extra week this year, according to a Downtown Association of Yakima press release.

“We are so grateful that the bands were able to come back and bring one more night of Downtown Summer Nights to the 2024 season,” said Breanna Stratton, Events Coordinator.

The last Downtown Summer Nights at 15 West Yakima Avenue will run from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will include live music from the Aphrodysiaks and Red Light Challenge, as well as food and free community fun for the whole family.

“It’s going to be a fantastic evening and we can’t wait to see everyone there,” said Stratton.
