YAKIMA, Wash. – Yakima Valley College has opened enrollment for English Language Acquisition (ELA) classes for the fall quarter of 2024, which helps non- or limited English-speaking adults learn English.
Classes emphasize listening and speaking skills while also teaching reading and writing.
“I highly recommend this program to everyone trying to learn or improve their English,” said student Linh Heintz. “As a person who did not have much education and studying experience, I’ve learned a lot and now I am able to communicate more in English.”
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis with tuition being $25 per quarter. The fall quarter begins Sept. 23.
