YAKIMA, Wash.- The Yakima Police Department is holding a news conference and Q&A session on Tuesday, July 2, at 10 a.m. to make a “Significant” announcement about a murder from the summer of 1977.
YPD says several decades ago, an unidentified woman was the victim of a brutal crime. At the time, police worked to identify the woman to move the case forward. Forty-seven years later, officials will invite the community to a news conference to address a new development at the City Council Chambers.
Community members will have a chance to speak with investigators working on the case.
