YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting that happened on the evening of Wed., July 31.
At around 8:34 p.m., YPD says witnesses reported a passenger in a dark colored sedan driving in the 1700 block of South 7th Avenue who started shooting towards one of the homes.
At least two homes were hit by the gunfire along with some cars parked at one of the homes. No one was injured, per YPD.
YPD notes that there is no threat to the community and that it is unknown if the shooting was gang related.
An investigation is ongoing.
