YAKIMA, Wash.-A 26-year-old Yakima woman is dead after a single-car crash on Dec. 6.
YPD responded to the crash on the 9600 block of Occidental Rd. around 11 p.m.
According to a YPD social media post, the driver left the roadway, corrected back onto the road, but then slid on the wet pavement and went off the road.
The car then hit some fruit trees, an irrigation cylinder and broke a utility pole.
The driver died as a result of her injuries and was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the YPD. A dog in the car was uninjured in the crash.
