YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Police Department welcomed a new K9 officer on Nov. 19.
Router, a year-and-a-half old Black Labrador Retriever trained to be an Electronic Search Detection and a Facility K9, will partner with Detective DeLeon.
According to the YPD, Router is trained to assist with search warrants and locate electronic devices, including cell phones, hard drives and SD cards.
Router will also work to comfort victims and witnesses during interviews and court testimony, according to a YPD social media post.
