YAKIMA, Wash.-Yakima Municipal Court’s database system is back online as of Monday, Nov. 18 and the court will resume taking payments on Nov. 19.
Yakima Municipal Court was impacted by the shutdown of the Statewide Judicial Information System due to unauthorized activity on the network that was detected on Nov. 4.
The court has been working with limited services since Nov. 4 when the system was taken offline for security reasons, according to the City of Yakima.
“We are working through the backlog of cases and some services will remain limited throughout today,” said Yakima Municipal Court Judge Aryn Masters.
According to a City of Yakima press release on the restored services, those with scheduled court appointments should plan to attend, unless they are notified otherwise.
“Yakima Municipal Courts appreciates the public’s patience with court staff as we work through the backlog from the two-week outage and restore normal service,” Masters said.
