YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.-A Yakima man injured in a crash near Wapato on October 25 has died.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Louie Adcock,85, was a passenger in a car heading north on State Route 97 at Lateral 1 Rd. about two miles north of Wapato, when he was hit by a southbound driver turning east onto Lateral 1 Rd.
Adcock was transported to the hospital after the crash and died on October 29. His next-of-kin was notified of his death by the King County Medical Examiner. The driver of the car, a 52-year-old Lacey woman was transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital.
The driver who hit Adcock was uninjured in the crash is expected to face charges of failure to yield according to the WSP.
