YAKIMA, Wash.-A candlelight vigil will be held at 5 p.m. in Millennium Plaza on Thursday, Dec. 21, in honor of National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day.
The Yakima City Council proclaimed Dec. 21 as National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day in the City and called on residents to pause for a moment and remember those who passed from ailments or conditions related to homelessness and to support local efforts to eliminate homelessness in the community.
