YAKIMA, Wash. – The Yakima Health District is working with local organizations to hold an event supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
YHD, the Northwest Access Fund, Central Washington Legal Aid, Pacific Northwest University, Educational Service District 105 and more will be in attendance.
‘A Journey to Success’ aims to bring local organizations together into one central location for individuals and families to find the knowledge, tools and support available to them.
Two informative sessions are scheduled. One, hosted by the Northwest Access Fund, will offer guidance on applying and getting approval for social security benefits, while the other, hosted by Central Washington Legal Aid, will help with navigating legal guardianship issues.
The event is scheduled for Thu., Oct. 3 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the PNWU MultiCare Learning Center, located at 3008 Inspiration Dr. in Yakima.
Attendees can register online through a Google Form.
