YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Health District is hosting a safe gun storage giveaway event on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Coastal Farm and Ranch.
Free lock boxes and trigger locks will be given out at the event, and information and resources on the importance of safe firearm storage, especially in homes with children or teens will be available, according to the YHD.
Lockboxes will be given away while supplies last. No identification is required to get a lockbox, however, recipients must be present and at least 18 years of age.
Coastal Farm and Ranch is located at 2112 S. 1st Street in Yakima.
