YAKIMA, Wash.-The Yakima Fire Department has named a new Deputy Fire Chief.
Chris Hutsell started in his new position in May, according to YFD. Prior to joining YFD he spent 25 years with the Kennewick Fire Department and served as Deputy Chief with Kittitas County Fire District 7.
“It is exciting to have Chris on board as Deputy Fire Chief,” said Fire Chief Aaron Markham. “This brings us up to full staffing in that role and helps share the workload.”
Hutsell earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Service Administration from Eastern Oregon University and a Master’s degree in Public Safety Leadership and Administration.
