YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. – Yakima County fire crews put out a brush fire near Lester Lane on Monday, according to Deputy Fire Chief Ray Lamoureux with Yakima County Fire District 4.
YCFD4, Selah Fire, Yakima Training Center, City of Yakima and the Department of Natural Resources responded to the fire that burned about two acres, according Lamoureux.
The fire is believed to have started while someone was clearing weeds in the area.
The call for the fire came in around 10:47 a.m. and firefighters with YCFD4-East Valley responded. The fire was out at 2:10 p.m., according to Lamoureux.
No structures were damaged by the fire, no one was injured and no roads were closed as a result.
