YAKIMA, Wash.-A Diwali celebration and Sikh Temple fundraiser is set for Saturday, Dec. 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Harman Center at 101 N. 65th Ave in Yakima.
The community is invited to the celebration hosted by the Association of Faith Communities. The event will feature a traditional Diwali celebration, authentic Indian food, crafts, a culture program, and door prizes.
Food will be provided by Geet Indian Cuisine. Tickets are $50 a piece or $1,000 to sponsor a table, with all proceeds going toward the construction of a Sikh Temple in Terrace Heights.
