YAKIMA, Wash.-An event in Yakima on Thursday, Jan. 25 hopes to increase community support for the Yakima Ice Rink.
Single Hill Brewing is inviting the community to its brewery at 487 E Staff Sgt Pendleton Way between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. to support building a stronger hockey and ice skating community in Yakima.
50 percent of the proceeds from each draft beer sale will go directly to the ice rink, according to a Single Hill social media post.
Volunteers at the Yakima Ice Rink are working to grow skating and ice hockey in the Yakima Valley with the ultimate hope of getting a newer facility. Representatives with the Yakima Ice Rink will be in the Single Hill taproom from 5-7 p.m. to share more about the ice rink.
