TOPPENISH, Wash.-The Confederated Bands of the Yakama Nation will observe Hope For Life Day on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Hope For Life Day is a call to action for Native American communities to break the silence around mental health and suicide, according to a Yakama Nation press release.

The Yakama Nation Community is invited to come together to remember and honor loved ones lost to suicide from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 10 in Pioneer Park.

Balloons symbolizing love, hope and remembrance will be released at the event.
