RICHLAND, Wash. — Washington State University Tri-Cities, in partnership with Benton County auditors, is offering an Election Hub to help residents who missed the voter registration deadline.

On Election Day, voters can register, have their ballots printed and cast their votes in person. After voting, ballots can be dropped off in a designated box right outside the campus.

The Election Hub saw a strong turnout on its first day, with around 50 people taking advantage of the service.

“We weren’t expecting that many, but we’re ready for even more tomorrow since we’re open for a full 12 hours,” said Zoe Pfeifer, Director of Legislative Affairs for the Associated Students of WSU Tri-Cities.

Pfeifer, who is leading the Election Hub initiative, encourages students and residents to use their right to vote. “

Your voice is your number one superpower,” she said. “You can’t complain about issues unless you try to make a change. Voting is how you make your voice heard.”
