SELAH, Wash. – Fire crews contained a wildfire in the area of Harlan Landing in the Selah Gap on Thursday.
The fire burn about 10 to 12 acres in the area of Rest Haven and Harlan Landing between Selah and Yakima, according to Yakima County Emergency Management Director Tony Miller.
A helicopter was used to help fight the fire, according to NonStop Local staff on scene.
Crews will be on scene overnight as the fire is still smoldering, according to Miller.
The Selah Fire Department is asking residents to not call 911 unless there is an active threat to people or property.
