YAKIMA, Wash. – Several fire crews fought a wildfire just east of Yakima near the 1900 block of Riverside Road on Thursday, according to a NonStop Local photojournalist in the area.
Yakima County Fire District 4 Chief Dale Hille said the fire is less than 50 acres in size. He notes that there is a lot of mop-up to be done.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Crews are expected to stay throughout the night and into the morning to continue mopping up the fire.
