Nestled against the stunning backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, the charming town of Whitefish, Montana, is set to become the latest culinary hotspot with the launch of the Whitefish Food & Wine Festival. The festival will take place at the picturesque Haskill Creek Farms, a locally owned space that provides organic, healthy products sourced from its land or trusted local partners.
Scheduled for September 13-15, 2024, this inaugural event promises a weekend of indulgence, blending the region’s finest flavors with breathtaking scenery.
The Festival
Award-winning chef Todd English co-founded the festival alongside Axcess Entertainment’s Ryan Heil and local entrepreneur Joe Hess.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the founding team to introduce an unparalleled annual wine and food event that showcases the burgeoning Whitefish culinary and hospitality scene,” states English.
Todd English is not only a four-time James Beard Award-winning chef but also lead chef for Delta Airlines, host of Food Trip with Todd English on PBS, and writer of four cookbooks. English owns more than 15 restaurants, including some in Las Vegas, New York City, Walt Disney World’s Dolphin Resort, and the RMS Queen Mary 2.
Haskill Creek Farms is a locally owned space that provides organic, healthy products sourced from its land or trusted local partners. According to its website, Haskill Creek Farms’ mission is to “spotlight high-quality products that help people live happier, healthier lives and reinvest in preserving farmland and open spaces.”
Festival attendees can look forward to myriad unique culinary experiences, from intimate wine pairings and gourmet dinners to the festival’s signature Grand Tasting sessions featuring top wineries, craft breweries, and distilleries alongside local culinary talents.
“We wanted to create a personalized, intimate event that can really highlight everything that Whitefish has to offer, and we can’t wait to share it with our guests in such a breathtaking setting,” explains English. The festival aims to be an annual fall calendar staple, drawing food and wine enthusiasts to experience the best of Flathead Valley’s rapidly growing culinary scene.
Grand Tastings will happen under expansive Montana skies, with views of Whitefish Mountain Resort and Glacier National Park creating the perfect backdrop.
Upon arrival, guests receive a souvenir wine glass and enjoy tastings of wine, beer, and other drinks from vendors. Participants can also enjoy live music, sponsored activities, themed meals, sommelier experiences, and VIP access to local venues.
Those wanting to elevate their experience can add the Todd English Food Experience, featuring gourmet food stalls with full-plate offerings carefully prepared by English and other local chefs. These guests can also access masterclass demonstrations and daily panels.
