WEST RICHLAND, Wash. – Over the month of October, the West Richland Police Department will work with Dr. Menks Mobile Vet Care to spay and neuter continuously breeding feral cats.
To start, the operation will begin in a neighborhood near Tapteal Elementary School where there have been years of unresolved complaints of feral cats.
WRPD says there is currently no cat shelters available to handle feral cats and that this is a “first of its kind” animal control operation.
Anyone in the target neighborhood that wants to help can contact Dr. Menks Mobile Vet Care at 509-438-4800 to provide a donation.
