PASCO, Wash. – A wanted man was arrested Wednesday morning after not complying with police, according to Pasco Police Department Sergeant Mike Andrews.
Andrews reports that at around 10 a.m., officers attempted to take a man into custody in the area of Lewis Street and 24th Avenue. The man did not comply and stated that he had a gun.
After de-escalation attempts failed, police used pepperballs to help take the man into custody. He was booked into the Franklin County Jail for several outstanding warrants, per Andrews.
After his arrest, police found that he was not armed.
Lewis Street was closed for about 40 minutes throughout the situation. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office helped police in the arrest.
