KENNEWICK, Wash. – Benton County sheriff’s deputies investigating a stolen car case arrested a prolific offender near the Kennewick/Benton County line Saturday, April 26.
According to a release, a 1996 Honda Accord reported stolen by Pasco Police earlier in the day was located by sheriff’s deputies at E 45th and S Juniper St while the suspect had the vehicle jacked up with a tire missing.
Deputies said they approached him, and he complied with their directions and was taken into custody without incident.
The man had several warrants for his arrest and was also wanted in connection with two recent stolen vehicle cases from the Kennewick Police Department, police said.
He was transported to jail on these charges, along with the current stolen vehicle possession case.
In addition, deputies said narcotics were observed in the suspect’s vehicle parked next to the stolen Honda. His vehicle was seized for a pending search warrant.
