Walk to End Alzheimer’s returns Oct. 19 in Richland

RICHLAND, Wash. – The yearly Walk to End Alzheimer’s is returning to Richland on Sat., Oct. 19 at John Dam Plaza.

The walk, which honors those impacted by Alzheimer’s, kicks off at 11 a.m. with registration starting at 10 a.m. Walkers will carry flowers of various colors representing their personal connections.

Money raised will fund care, support and research programs.

Almost 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s in the U.S., with over 11 million family members and friends providing care to those affected.

In Washington, there’s over 126,000 people with Alzheimer’s and over 247,000 family members providing care.
