BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – A vehicle caught fire and was destroyed on Wednesday just south of Kennewick, according to Benton County Fire District 1.
Public Information Officer Jenna Roberts says crews were called to Locust Grove Road east of C Williams Road at 3:33 p.m. for a vehicle in the road fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was put under control as of 3:49 p.m. Both passengers in the vehicle were uninjured, however the vehicle is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown. Traffic was not impacted due to the fire being in a rural area.
