PASCO, Wash.-Two buildings in downtown Pasco feature new murals.
The murals were made possible through a local grant program to boost tourism funded by taxes on hotel and motel stays.
According to the City of Pasco, the owners of the buildings worked with the mural artists on the concepts and design and then the City reimbursed up to $5,000 per mural.
One more mural is still in progress and the Pasco City Council has approved a deadline extension so that the building’s owner can be reimbursed for the art project, according to a City of Pasco social media post.
