YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash.-Two people were hospitalized in a three-car crash on I-82 south of Union Gap on Sunday, Jan. 7.
Washington State Patrol Troopers responded to the crash near milepost 42 about 5 miles south of Union Gap around 9:15 p.m.
According to the WSP, all three cars were heading eastbound when one hit another, before being hit by a third.
The driver of the first car, a 52-year-old Yakima man, was transported to Harborview Medical Center for his injuries. A 57-year-old Wapato woman driving the third car was taken to MultiCare Memorial Hospital.
The driver in the third car involved, a 67-year-old Pendleton man was uninjured.
The driver of the first car may ultimately face charges of following too close, according to the WSP.
