TRI-CITIES, Wash. -Two children were injured in a crash on the Blue Bridge on the night of June 20.
Washington State Patrol Troopers responded to the crash between a car and truck in the northbound lanes of US 395 around 9:12 p.m.
According to the WSP, a Honda Accord driven by a 25-year-old Pasco man, was getting onto US 395 from SR 240 when he hit a truck going northbound.
The driver of the Accord was uninjured, however, his passengers, a six-year-old girl and a four-year-old girl, were transported to the hospital for their injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 38-year-old Albany, Oregon man, was also uninjured in the crash.
Northbound US 395 at the Blue Bridge was fully blocked due to the crash and traffic was detoured to westbound SR 240, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
The official cause of the crash is under investigation, however, charges may be pending against the driver of the Honda Accord, according to the WSP.
