KENNEWICK, Wash.- Former President Donald Trump endorsed Tiffany Smiley’s campaign for Congress on Saturday, August 3.
In a post on the presidential candidate’s platform, Truth Social, ‘ Trump said, “Tiffany Smiley is a tremendous America First Candidate running to represent the Great People of Washington’s 4th Congressional District!”
Trump acknowledged his prior endorsement of Republican congressional candidate Jerrod Sessler, saying, “Likewise, Jerrod Sessler, who I have Endorsed in the past, would be fantastic, fighting for the same things that Tiffany and I want for our Country.”
In a press release, Smiley accepted the endorsement, saying, “I am honored to have received the endorsement of President Trump! Under President Trump, our southern border was secure, there was peace in the Middle East, economic stability and energy independence.”
In the last election cycle, Smiley ran against Patty Muray for Senate to represent Washington state.
Now, Smiley will face off against Republican Candidates Dan Newhouse, one of the few Republicans to vote to impeach Trump after the capitol insurrection, and Jerrod Sessler.
