A truck hit an overhead highway sign after its trailer was left in the up position.

The vehicle destroyed the sign and blocked Interstate 64 West in Henrico County, Virginia on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Virginia State Police were alerted to the crash around 9:30 a.m. and it took an hour and a half to remove the trailer from the sign. The left lane reopened for drivers around 4:45 p.m.

A man has reportedly been arrested and charged with reckless driving. He is not believed to have been hurt in the incident.

One online commentator wrote: “Looks like he left the trailer in the dump position. Or accidentally raised it at some point, if you can even do that while moving.”
