A train has been renamed ‘Shania Train’ – in honor of the Canadian music legend.

Great Western Railway (GWR) unveiled the train at London Paddington yesterday (Mon) ahead of Shania Twain’s performances across Britain this summer.

The ‘You’re Still The One’ superstar is scheduled to perform at Glastonbury, Chepstow Racecourse and BST Hyde Park in London over the coming months.

GWR came up with the idea for the ‘Shania Train’ after radio DJ Nick Grimshaw spoke to Twain on his podcast, Sidetracked.

The country music star said she was delighted there was a ‘Shania Train’ in Switzerland – prompting Grimshaw to suggest the same should exist in Britain.

GWR then designed a pink leopard print ‘Shania Train’ vinyl, which has been placed on the side of Intercity Express Train 802109.

Grimshaw said: “It is actually on. The Shania Train is going to exist in the UK.

“I cannot believe that my brain has created an actual train. You could be going to Glastonbury riding the Shania Train.

“So giddy up, let’s go girls.”

Amanda Burns, GWR’s sales and marketing director, said: “As soon as we heard about ‘Shania Train’ it impressed us very much!

“Shania Twain is a country music icon and this is a great way to celebrate her forthcoming appearances at Glastonbury, Chepstow Racecourse and BST Hyde Park.

“It has been brilliant to work with the team at Sidetracked and help bring this gem of an idea to reality.

“We’ll be carrying thousands of music goers this year and we hope ‘Shania Train’ turns a few heads as fans flock to what promises to be another unforgettable summer.”
