Traffic in Richland to be impacted by construction on Saint Street Railroad crossing

RICHLAND, Wash.-Construction on the Saint Street railroad crossing will start on Friday, Oct. 18.

According to the Port of Benton, construction will start at 6 a.m. and the road will be closed for the duration of the project. Moon River RV Park will be accessible from State Route 240 and business access will remain open south of State Route 240.

The railroad crossing will be replaced with new concrete panels during the project, paving will be replaced on both sides of the crossing, the gate mechanism will be replaced and LED lights will be installed, according to the port.

Detour routes will be clearly marked in the area throughout the project and the crossing is expected to reopen to traffic by 10 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21.
