BENTON COUNTY, Wash. – A tractor driver was brought to a hospital in stable condition after a crash north of Prosser Monday morning, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
BCSO Lieutenant Mike Clark said the crash happened at around 7:22 a.m. on Evans Road near North Hinzerling Road, where a white SUV reportedly rear-ended the tractor.
Both the SUV and the tractor were not driven away from the crash, according to Clark.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, which also means any possible charges are waiting for the investigation to end.
Clark states that drivers on rural roads should allow for plenty of room to stop when following a tractor or other farm equipment and should expect extremely low speeds and sudden stops and turns.
