WHITE SWAN, Wash.-Three people were injured in an attack by a pit bull on Aug. 21
Law Enforcement responded to the 100 block of Birch Avenue after a 911 caller reported three pit bulls attacking two people.
The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the attack involved at least one pit bull and that three people were injured in the attack, with two of them being transported to Yakima for medical attention and a third person declining medical services.
According to Casey Schilperoort with the YCSO, a medical helicopter was launched in response to the attack, but was later canceled.
The pit bulls are still on the loose after the attack and the YCSO is advising White Swan residents to be on the lookout for them, warning that there is a threat to the public from the dogs.
According to the YCSO, witnesses reported that one of the pit bulls has a broken chain around its neck, however, no other identifiable information about the dogs is available.
