YAKIMA, Wash.-Three bodies found in the Yakima area in October have been identified.
The three bodies were found in different locations and the incidents are not related, according to Yakima County Chief Deputy Coroner Marshall Slight.
On Oct. 13 the body of 47-year-old Barbara Aoah was found in the Yakima River near Terrace Heights.
It is believed that Aoah, who was known to be homeless and was staying near the river, had been in the water for about three weeks before she was found.
Aoah accidentally drowned, according to Slight and her next-of-kin has been notified.
On Oct. 19, the body of 48-year-old Marco Vazquez was found in the Yakima River near Selah.
Vazquez, of California, was in Washington for work and is believed to have been in the water for about a month before he was found, according to the Coroner’s Office.
Vazquez’s cause of death was also accidental drowning and his next-of-kin has been notified.
According to Slight, these are the first two bodies found in the Yakima River this year.
On the morning of Oct. 28 a man’s body was found under an overpass in Yakima.
The man, 23-year-old Drevin Beach, of Marysville was known to be homeless, according to Slight and while his family has been notified of his death, the cause of death is pending toxicology reports.
