MOXEE, Wash.- Yakima Valley Emergency Management has confirmed that all evacuations for the Thorp Road fire have been lifted.
The Thorp Road Fire burned approximately 2,300 acres and is considered contained but not out.
According to Deputy Fire Chief Ray Lamoureux with Yakima County Fire District #4, fire crews will remain on scene mopping up hot spots and reinforcing fire lines to avoid flare ups.
Every fire district in Yakima County, multiple agencies from around the region, as well as the Department of Natural Resources and the Bureau of Land Management helped fight the fire, according to Deputy Chief Lamoureux.
No homes or structures were damaged in the fire and no injuries have been reported.
Deputy Fire Chief Ray Lamoureux requested the mobilization of state firefighting resources and WSP Chief John Batiste mobilized state resources at 7 a.m. on July 5 to assist with the fire.
Level 1 evacuations have been lifted for the following areas, according to Yakima Valley Emergency Management:

The fire started around 10:30 p.m. on the 4th of July, according to Deputy Fire Chief Ray Lamoureux.
The cause is still unknown but under investigation.
