YAKIMA, Wash.-Teresa Rich has been appointed the Interim President of Yakima Valley College.
“We are pleased to be able to call upon Dr. Rich’s extensive experience in higher education and many years as a member of the YVC community to serve as our interim president while we undertake the search process for a permanent president,” said Patrick Baldoz, chair of the YVC Board of Trustees.
Rich has been at YVC for 23 years, including 18 as Vice President for Administrative Services, according to the college, and she has over two decades of experience in higher education accounting and administration.
According to a YVC press release on her appointment, Rich has experience in safety, security and emergency preparedness in the higher education sector.
Rich will step into her new role on Aug. 1 following the retirement of longtime YVC President Linda Kaminski.
