TRI-CITIES, Wash.-As temperatures start to drop warming centers around the Tri-Cities are preparing to open.
The Benton-Franklin Health District is partnering with Richland, Pasco and Kennewick to provide spaces for individuals to get out of the cold during the day, according to the BFHD.
“We deeply appreciate the efforts of our city and county partners in helping to keep our community healthy throughout the winter season,” said Dr. Steven Krager, Health Officer for BFHD.
Temporary warming centers are open daily during normal business hours to provide protection from extreme cold and possible cold-related illnesses.
