YAKIMA, Wash. – A wanted man is holding a Yakima Police SWAT team at bay at the Mesa Apartments in the 1700 block of Gordon Road, police said.
According to police Lieutenant Chad Janis, the suspect has barricaded himself inside one of the apartments and that negotiations are ongoing.
Janis said neighboring apartments have been evacuated and that people should avoid the area.
