FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash.-One person is in jail after leading Franklin County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed chase.
FCSO Deputies responded to a driver going south in the northbound lanes of Highway 395 near Connell on the night of April 25.
When Deputies tried to stop the car, the driver took off at high speeds, eventually reaching speeds near 100 mph, according to the FCSO.
After establishing suspicion of DUI, Deputies pursued the car and put down spike strips near Mesa, however, the driver kept going south in the northbound lanes.
Washington State Patrol Troopers and Pasco Police joined the chase as the suspect neared Pasco.
More spike strips were put down and the suspect was finally stopped on Highway 12.
According to the FCSO, the suspect was booked into the County Jail on suspicion of DUI, attempting to elude and reckless endangerment.
