Suspect in Walla Walla gas station shooting arrested

WALLA WALLA, Wash.-Walla Walla Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting at a gas station on August 27 that injured one person.

According to Walla Walla Police a verbal altercation between the driver of a car and a man walking to the gas station on Isaacs Avenue reportedly led to the driver shooting the pedestrian and driving away.

The victim of the shooting was transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and Walla Walla Police have been working on identifying and locating the suspect since the shooting.

Through its investigation WWPD identified a 26-year-old Walla Walla man as a suspect in the shooting and were able to develop probable cause for his arrest.

The suspect was located on September 18 and taken into custody after a traffic stop. According to the WWPD the suspect was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on suspicion of assault in the First Degree, drive-by shooting and second and third degree malicious mischief.
