ZILLAH, Wash. – Sunday is the last day Zillah residents and vendors can participate in a survey to shape the future of a proposed year-round indoor public market.

The survey is available in Spanish and English. The City said the information will be used to make sure the market aligns with the community’s needs.

“The City of Zillah is committed to making this public market a community-driven project,” said City Administrator Michael Grayum. “The public survey is critical to gathering input from residents and vendors to help shape the design and function of the market.”

The City envisions the public market will be built on the 250-acre tourism and commercial-zoned corridor along I-82.

“We envision creating a community gathering space where culture, food, and agriculture come together,” Grayum said. “We are focused on supporting local businesses, promoting economic growth, and providing consumers with greater access to high-quality, locally sourced food and products.”
