FRANKLIN CO., Wash. – A 500-acre fire near Kahlotus prompted state fire mobilization early Sunday morning.
The fire, named the Davin Road Fire, started on July 21 at about 7:27 a.m. The State Fire Marshal’s Office said it was still growing at about 10:30 a.m. and threatening the Lyon Ferry Fish Hatchery and park as well as rangeland and wheat.
Fire Chief Scott Moore of Franklin County Fire District 2 requested state firefighting assistance at 9 a.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
