KENNEWICK, Wash.-The Washington Public Transportation State Roadeo is Sunday, Aug. 11.
The Ben Franklin Transit is the host agency for the 2024 Washington State Public Transportation Conference, vendor expo and roadeo in the parking lot of the Three Rivers Convention Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Drivers from across the state, including the Tri-Cities will compete by performing precision maneuvers in buses while being timed and scored by a panel of judges, according to a BFT press release.
BFT drivers are scheduled to compete at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. in the divisions of Body-on-Chassis, 35′ Coach and 40′ Coach.
The State Roadeo is open to the public and the BFT encourages spectators to bring a lawn chair and refreshments and watch the show.
