YAKIMA, Wash.-Looking to get outdoors for a hike amidst the hustle and bustle of the holidays? Some Cowiche Canyon trails are now reopened.
The Cowiche Canyon Uplands and Snow Mountain Ranch trails reopened on Dec. 5, according to the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy.
Rocky Top Trails will remain closed due to heavy mud that could damage the trails if they are used heavily.
The trails were closed in late Nov. due to standing water and heavy mud.
According to the Cowiche Canyon Conservancy, the trails are mostly solid now with patches of mud and puddles in places.
While some trails are now reopened, the Conservancy is asking visitors to go through any puddles, rather than going around and widening trails.
The latest updates on trail closures and conditions are available online.
