YAKIMA, Wash.-YWCA Yakima and Solarity Credit Union are helping ensure students head back to school with the supplies necessary for academic success this year.
Solarity donated over 800 school supply items, including pens and pencils, notebooks, glue, backpacks and more to the YWCA on Aug. 20
“What a wonderful way for our local kids to start the new year – with new school supplies!” said YWCA Yakima’s Executive Director, Cheri Kilty. “We deeply appreciate Solarity’s continued partnership. We can count on them throughout the year for support, and it means so much to us and the people we serve.”
The donations were collected during a month-long drive by Solarity and its members and the school supplies will help students in the Yakima community at the start of the 2024-25 school year, according to a Solarity press release.
