KENNEWICK, Wash. – The Boys and Girls Club of Kennewick hosted two-time World Cup champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Brandi Chastain on Friday, Nov. 10.
The retired soccer star toured the Kennewick Boys and Girls Club facility and worked through some soccer drills with the next generation of players.
“For me, it’s very selfish to be honest with you because I feel inspired every time I come into a place like this and to remind them that they’re really important and that adult people think that they matter a lot,” said Chastain.
This is Chastain’s first visit to the Tri-Cities, noting that she enjoys visiting non-profits like the Boys and Girls Club.
She plans to use experience gained here to help her neighborhood in California.
