KENNEWICK, Wash.- A small fire at the Toyota Center in Kennewick caused employees to be evacuated.
According to Kennewick Fire Chief Chad Michael, a small fire began at 4:00 p.m. on September 22.
According to Michael, one HVAC unit had caught fire. The overhead sprinklers were triggered and suppressed the flames.
The sprinkler system prevented the fire from spreading and causing more damage.
Crews were able to fully extinguish the flames shortly after arriving.
The fire alarms were also triggered and prompted employees to evacuate the building.
According to Michael, the cause is currently unknown.
No injuries were reported. The business was able to resume shortly after the fire was extinguished.
