Slide Ranch fire prompts level 3 (Go Now!) evacuations in White Swan

YAKIMA, Wash.- Level 3 (Go Now!) and level 2 (Be Set) evacuations issued for White Swan.

The 300 acre fire in White Swan has been named the Slide Ranch Fire according to Washington State Fire Marshal.

State fire mobilization has been issued. Two wildland strike teams and air resources are responding.

According to Yakima Valley Emergency Management, level 3 evacuations were issued at 6 p.m. Saturday Jun. 22. Level 2 Evacuations were issued 30 minutes later.

YVEM advises all residents in the area prepare for potential evacuations.

The Level 3 “Go Now” evacuations are in place for the following areas:

Intersection of Fort Road and TecumsehSouthbound through Tecumseh to the intersection of Tecumseh Road and Pumphouse RoadWest on Pumphouse Road to Signal Paek RoadNorth on Signal Peak to Fort RoadEast on Fort Road to Tecumseh Road

The Level 2 “Get Set” evacuations have been issued for the following areas:

The intersection of West Wapato and Harrah RoadWest Wapato to Stephenson RoadSouthbound on Stephenson Road to Branch RoadWestbound on Branch Road to North White Swan RoadSouthbound on North White Swan Road to Fort RoadEastbound on Fort Road to Harrah Road

A Red Cross evacuation shelter has been opened at Harrah Elementary School for residents being evacuated from the White Swan area.

Yakama Nations Networks, has opened their rodeo grounds for anyone needing to evacuate livestock.
